Fingerpost pool is perfect for a peaceful day of fishing.
It is located just south of Knutsford in farmland which is shielded from the roadside by woodland. This is probably the clubs easiest water to fish and represents classic farm pool fishing; perfect for teaching a junior the basics (with 100 rudd on the whip in a day by no means impossible) but with surprises from the resident head of carp being capable of setting the pulse racing at any moment.
If you intend to tackle the carp on the pole please use balanced tackle, they run up to double figures and fight hard.
The water also holds some large chub which run up to 4lb and perch to 3lb..
